What is TB-S?

TB-S is 0.25% Trypan Blue solution in vial for corneal evaluation. Trypan blue stains the nuclei of severely damaged and dead endothelial cells of donor corneas, as well as areas of Descemet membrane denuded of endothelial cells, thus allowing an accurate evaluation of endothelial cell mortality. TB-S does not stain viable endothelial cells with an intact cell membrane.
