RESEP is the first in vitro diagnostic medical device (IVD) expressly designed to avoid the false negative results in the microbiological tests performed by Tissue Banks.
What is RESEP?
RESEP is an in vitro diagnostic medical device (IVD). It is designed for the elimination of antibiotics from processing liquid of tissue intended for transplantation, undergoing microbiological analysis, in order to prevent the interference of such antibiotics with microbial growth.
RESEP is compatible with the most common microbiological analysis systems used in tissue banks (Bactec, BacT/Alert and HB&L) and increases the sensitivity of the currently used microbiological methods.
RESEP can be used for routine microbiological analysis in Tissue and Eye Banks, validation of microbiological analysis methods (Method Suitability Test EP 2.1.6) and other Tissue Bank processes.
RESEP is user-friendly, fast and safe.
